Welcome Adventurers!
My name is Celeste, known on Twitch as The Musing Mage. I’m a Canadian writer, streamer, dungeon master, artist, and game designer based out of Edmonton, Alberta.
My roots in writing are deep and I bring a creative expertise to everything I do. My specialties are fantasy, from high fantasy to modern and urban fantasy and everything in-between, science fiction, and scriptwriting, with a special love for the worldbuilding and epic prose of high fantasy.
With those roots planted in writing, my branches reach out into the realms of TTRPG creation, lore-writing, quest creation, and also into leadership and artistic endeavors as part of a design team that produced a proof-of-concept for an augmented reality museum exhibit to showcase the talents of the many students attending the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.
My personal projects, Song of the Stars and Tales of Eriathra, are a decade-long endeavor to see my creative works out into the world. The first, a series of novels, plotted, planned, and in the process of growing well out of my control. The second, a homebrewed tabletop campaign incorporating specially created training systems within an original world setting for the enjoyment of my players and anyone who might stumble across the project. With every iteration of my systems, I find myself a little bit closer to achieving my goal of publishing a book detailing my own TTRPG campaign book with its own well-developed world setting, and a handbook containing a setting-agnostic system for more adventurous homebrew-focused Game Masters.
Works and Projects
The NAIT AR Museum Project
Done on behalf of the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology as part of Capstone 2026, the NAIT AR Museum was an instructor-sponsored project that held the goal of producing a proof of concept for an augmented reality museum that would allow a team of programmers and artists to, at a location of our choosing, display models, art, and videos in a virtual space accessible through an application downloadable on phones capable of hosting augmented reality programs.
Over the course of four months, and through consultation with mentors in the field of augmented reality and game programming, our team created the proof-of-concept for an augmented reality museum using the Unity game engine, accessible by mobile devices through the scanning of high-contrast anchors as a means to engage in a self-guided tour of the institution’s history and student works. Our team of artists worked tirelessly to fill the halls with static and animated 3D models imported from Maya, videos of game levels, Zbrush sculptures, a gallery of weapons, dragons, a couple of errant robots, and generous donations of beautiful works by students.
While the final product remains the property of our client, I am able to showcase the presentation walkthrough of the museum and the UX/UI assets that I produced for the project, as well as an overview of my duties and roles within the team structure as both the Art Lead and Team Lead for the NAIT AR Museum Capstone project.
Song of the Stars began as a tattered notebook that I spent hours scribbling in during my high school biology classes. At first, it began as the journey of a young assassin who served as a body doubt to a princess, taking her place when the princess’s safety was at risk.
But over multiple iterations of the story and input from my best friend of now ten years, the story grew and shifted, bringing in new characters, new settings, and a vast array of histories, cultures, pantheons, and lore that would come to give the lands of Illithine the personality that they had been lacking.
Now, what began as plans for a trilogy detailing the adventures of a magical underground railroad for rescuing those with special gifts, has transformed into plans for a multi-series, three thousand year long epic narrative detailing the rise and fall of civilizations, a desperate migration, a dark shadow haunting the land, heart-wrenching sacrifice, and horrific choices between standing with king and country and doing what is right for the future of a nation.

Home of The Musing Mage Twitch channel, where we play a variety of games, with a special love for Role-Playing Games.
Here, you can find my gallery of emotes, reviews for games I’ve played for the first time on stream (I try to be an appropriately harsh critic for the games I love most), the challenges we’ve put to our community, and stories about the various series we’re doing on the channel.

Art, Modeling, and Design Gallery
A growing collection of 3D modeling, animation, level design, and illustration in Maya, Zbrush, Unity, Adobe Illustrator, and my beautiful sketchbooks.

Tales of Eriathra – A TTRPG Adventure
A growing guide to the trials and tribulations faced by my incredibly creative and terribly vexing adventurers with no small amount of courage, and more luck than they rightfully deserve.
The Tales of Eriathra is the record of a three year long homebrewed campaign using the Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition ruleset with…more than a few tweaks to make gameplay more interesting. I have since learned from the egregious mistakes that plague many homebrew-focused Dungeon Masters and have resolved to refine and balance my systems before my players have the chance to use and abuse them again.
Inside, you’ll find chapter summaries, quest outlines, my homebrewed skilling mechanics, and some of the items, spells, and subclasses that turned our Saturday D&D table into a chaotic mess of heroic battle and game-breaking roleplay.
